Your PNR is a 10-digit number printed on the ticket. Use the official page to check it, then use this guide to understand what the status means.
Your PNR is sent to a third-party data provider only to fetch its status. We never store or log it, and it is not cached. You can also use the official PNR enquiry page.
What the status words mean
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| CNF | Confirmed – you have a coach and berth or seat number. |
| RAC | Reservation Against Cancellation – you can travel, but may share a berth until another passenger cancels. |
| WL | Waiting list – not confirmed. It moves up as others cancel. |
| GNWL | General waiting list – the most common type, usually the best chance of clearing. |
| RLWL / PQWL / RSWL | Special waiting lists such as remote location, pooled quota or roadside station – they clear less often. |
| Chart prepared | The final reservation chart is ready; a ticket still waiting is cancelled and refunded by the Railways. |
